Clint Flanagan, MD

Dr. Flanagan is Board Certified in Family Medicine and has over 14 years experience as an ER physician and maintains certificates in Advanced Cardiac and Advanced Trauma Life Support. He completed medical school at the University of Nebraska Medical Center then went on to residency at St Mary’s Family Medicine Program in Grand Junction, Colorado. He’s a diplomate of the American Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Flanagan is the founder of Nextera Healthcare, the first Direct Primary Care company in Colorado and has been a local Primary Care physician and Emergency Medicine physician for over a decade.

Dr. Flanagan is a recognized leader in healthcare and was named a "Top 20 Who's Who in Direct Primary Care in the US" and was invited to the White House to discuss the future of healthcare. He is a founding member and is currently serving on the steering committee of the Direct Primary Care Coalition in Washington DC. Dr. Flanagan was also instrumental in helping pass the Direct Primary Health Care Services Law in Colorado and the Direct Primary Care Agreement Act in Nebraska through his testimony and participation.

He also advises on system enhancements, including telemedicine and Evidence Based Medicine guidelines integration directly to the EMR, advising on the peer review processes and working with partner groups to develop ACO programs focused on Primary Care Physicians.

Deirdre brings 20+ years of experience in business development and marketing for medical imaging and international banking software companies. Deirdre is responsible for Employer/Member patient management support. She develops, implements and monitors benchmarks and metrics to measure attainment of practice goals and objectives, as well as coordinates data analytics for employer groups. In addition, she oversees the development of educational and promotional materials for members and manages plans to measure patient satisfaction. Her responsibilities include reviewing and coordinating development and implementation of protocols and procedures. Deirdre received a Bachelor of Science degree in International Business Management.

Eric Gibb, MD is the founder and lead medical provider at Our Town Medical. He started the practice in October 2014 after becoming frustrated with the bureaucracy of traditional medical offices and health insurance that prevented him from practicing medicine the old fashioned way.

Doc Gibb received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Biology from Stanford University. He attended medical school at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, and completed his family practice residency at St. Mary's Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado. He has been a family physician in Buena Vista for the past 17 years.

Doc Gibb is active in the Buena Vista community: he is the current vice president of the Buena Vista Optimists Club, serves as the lead community member on BV Peaks, an organization dedicated to building new school facilities in Buena Vista, and is serving a four-year term as an elected Town Trustee.

Doc Gibb met his wife, Diane, when they were both students at Stanford University over 30 years ago. They have two daughters: Taylor is a senior at Muhlenberg College in Pennsylvania, and Hayden is a junior at Buena Vista High School.

Kristen Searfus, MD was raised in San Diego which promoted an early appreciation for active living. After graduating magna cum laude with a BS degree in Physiology from the University of California, Davis, she moved to Boston and worked in cancer and neuroscience research. This experience gave her a better understanding of the scientific method leading to the clinical approaches used in daily practice. She subsequently was accepted to medical school at the University of California, San Francisco where she received her MD in 1994. She worked extensively with underserved populations which gave her a deep appreciation for the socioeconomic, psychologic, environmental and lifestyle impacts on the ability to achieve wellness.

Following medical school, Dr. Searfus completed her residency in family medicine at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City and acted as Chief Resident in her final year of the program. She obtained broad experience in internal medicine, obstetric care, gynecology, pediatrics and geriatric medicine with an emphasis on taking care of individuals in the context of their family unit and community. She then returned home to San Diego, joined the faculty at the University of California, San Diego and ultimately achieved the rank of Associate Professor of Clinical Family Medicine. Dr. Searfus spent a substantial portion of her nine years on faculty educating medical students and residents, recognizing a passion for teaching that she brings to working with patients.

Dr. Searfus moved to Durango, CO in 2006, excited to live in a community that promoted active lifestyles and provided a healthy environment in which to raise her two sons. After working in a traditional family practice for six years she moved to Mountain View Family Healthcare, a membership-based practice model that uses a novel approach to providing comprehensive primary care. The model allows for significantly more time during each visit to address a patient’s medical issues in-depth and recognizes the need to explore the non-medical factors that impede the ability to achieve optimal health and well-being. As part of Mountain View TLC (Total Life Concept), she collaborates actively in partnership with other health-related specialists in providing on-site nutrition counseling, fitness promotion and behavioral health counseling to better support patients working towards their wellness goals.

She is currently the Medical Director at the Red Rocks Physician Assistant program and a Commissioner for the National Accreditation Board for all PA schools in the U.S., She attended the University of Colorado School of Medicine and has a MA in molecular genetics. Prior to her career as a physician, Tana was a Medical Assistant and also managed an Urgent Care center.

Tana is passionate about education for both patient and medical training. She believes a good rapport and understanding of a patient’s needs drives a better health outcome.

Outside of work, Tana enjoys skiing, hiking and swimming as well as reading a good book. She has been married for 32 years and has 3 children and 2 grandchildren.

Emily earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2007 from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. She has taught yoga for 13 years concurrently with her PT practice, since earning her yoga instructor certification in 2002. She is currently pursuing additional credentials in the treatment of chronic neurological pain.

Emily enjoys using all the diagnostic tools of her profession to find the root cause of a person's pain and movement dysfunction. Prior to joining Physical Therapy of Boulder, Emily worked with Colorado's top doctors at National Jewish Hospital where she learned how physical therapy can be effective in the presence of complex rheumatological and medical conditions.

Michelle graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a degree in Occupational Therapy.Utilizing the latest trends and techniques, she specializes in treatment of the elbow, wrist, and hand.

Michelle has extensive knowledge in the evaluation and treatment of acute and chronic hand, wrist and elbow injuries, rheumatoid arthritis, orthopedic injuries, and workers compensation injuries. Michelle also has a wide knowledge base in areas such as biceps rupture, distal radius fractures, and options for RSD, thoracic outlet syndrome, strain/counter strain injuries, electrotherapy, stress loading, myofacial release, and wrist ligament injuries.

Carrie graduated from the University of Oklahoma and brings over 20 years of experience to the orthopedic setting. She has taken numerous continuing education courses over the years, including manual therapy, functional exercise rehab, kinesiotaping, as well as completing Level 2 Triggerpoint Dry Needling. She has practiced mainly in the outpatient orthopedic and sports medicine settings, with experience also in homecare.

She enjoys the diagnosis and treatment of orthopedic and sports injuries, and emphasizes individualized treatments specific for each patient. Carrie also has a special interest in lower extremity biomechanics and functional rehabilitation as well as injuries related to running and dancing

Dawn Singleton, PT, DPT

Dawn earned her Master of Physical Therapy in 2005 and Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2006 from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. She earned her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology from the University of Northern Colorado. In 2013 Dawn completed her manual therapy certification from the University of St. Augustine.

Being a manual therapist better allows her to assess and treat musculoskeletal disorders using her hands. Dawn has additional training in therapies for TMJ dysfunction, vestibular disorders and vertigo. Dawn has completed the level 2 training for Trigger Point Dry Needling (Intramuscular Manual Therapy). Dawn enjoys working with all types of sports, orthopedic and back injuries. She uses manual techniques and customized exercise programs with all of her treatment plans.
