Nida Dillon, DO

Kansas
Overland Park

Dr. Nida Dillon graduated from Kansas City University in 2014 and completed residency at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. She completed both the Integrative Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine tracks during residency. Integrative medicine is a holistic approach that considers all factors that influence health; including body, mind, spirit and community. This approach combines conventional medicine with evidence-based complementary treatments. Dr. Dillon enjoys identifying the root causes of disease and her goal is to empower her patients with the knowledge they need to live healthier, happier lives. She believes that “Finding health should be the object of the doctor. Anyone can find disease”.

Prior to medical school, she worked as a Paramedic and Firefighter and spent several years teaching in the Emergency Medicine Services program at Johnson County Community College. She attended the University of Kansas (go Jayhawks!) and obtained her Bachelor’s in Education in Exercise Science/Sports Medicine. She is currently working on her Master’s in International Health and advancing her training in Obesity Medicine. She is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is committed to staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in medicine.

Going through her own personal health struggles she appreciates the work needed to overcome difficult health challenges. Her EMS career ended after a severe accident where she was rear-ended by a tractor-trailer on the interstate. She leaned on her faith, family and great medical care during her recovery. After the pandemic she made her own health a priority again and lost over 60 pounds on her health journey. She looks forward to partnering with her patients on their own path to wellness.

In her free time, she and her husband Jack, a firefighter, seek out adventure and travelling with their two young kids. Together they enjoy Jeep trail adventures, family road trips and they are Disney enthusiasts. They are busy with kids’ activities and active in church.  Dr. Dillon is passionate about medical missions and has served on short-term missions in Haiti, Kenya, Mexico, Costa Rica and the Gulf Coast post-Hurricane Katrina. She hopes to serve with her family in the near future.

Dr. Dillon is excited about her transition into the Direct Primary Care model of medicine because she will finally be able to spend the time with her patients that they deserve. One of the most rewarding things in her career is establishing relationships with her patients over the years and she considers her patients her extended family.
