Cathy Arvidson is new to the practice and brings over 25 years as a nurse practitioner, all in the Idaho Falls area. She has been an RN for over 40 years. In addition she is an associate professor at Idaho State University, School of Nursing, teaching in the Doctor of Nursing Practice, Family Nurse Practitioner Program. Cathy graduated from Vanderbilt University with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, University of Florida with her Master of Science in Nursing with a focus as a Pediatric Clinical Specialist, Texas Woman’s University with a PhD in Nursing, and University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh with her post-doctoral certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Her philosophy of care is treating each patient as an individual and working together to achieve each patient’s highest level of wellness with an emphasis on disease prevention and health promotion and a focus on high quality, cost effective care.
She grew up in Florida and moved to Idaho Falls from Texas in 1992. She is married and has 2 grown children, one of which has followed her into nursing. She loves the outdoors which includes hiking with her rescue dog and skiing in winter.
