My husband Tom and I are self-employed as distributors of nutrition products for a network marketing company. We have been doing it for 20 years and have teams all over the world. We’re fortunate to be in good health, so we use our Nextera membership mostly for prevention and wellness. Our son Dominic is also on our family membership.
Nextera is a great idea for us. We love Dr. Flanagan and we love his vision for the company. We go to Nextera for all of our healthcare needs, including annual checkups. Dr. Flanagan takes the time to have a conversation with me. We sit and talk about a lot of different things. Having a very personal relationship with Dr. Flanagan, who knows our family and our history, is really special. I don’t feel rushed, and I do feel listened to and cared for.
It’s also great for our son, who is 27. He works as a project manager for a construction company. It’s wonderful that he can just make an appointment and go in for a visit without any co-pays or deductibles.
When you’re a Nextera patient, scheduling appointments is easy. For our family, and for anybody with children, being able to pop into the office with questions or concerns, things you want to double-check, is really great.
A couple of years ago, I had a case of bronchitis that wouldn’t go away. I was able to consult Dr. Flanagan via email and phone. When you’re feeling lousy, the last thing you want to do is go to the doctor’s office!
Every year, the whole health insurance world shifts, especially for self-employed people. A premium payment can seem as large as a mortgage payment. Over the past six years, as we’ve been purchasing insurance on the exchanges, our premiums have doubled. The one thing that remains stable is Nextera.
