Dr. Alex Bugg is a Board-Certified Family Medicine physician. He grew up in a small farming town in Kentucky, then completed his B.S. in Agriculture Biotechnology at the University of Kentucky. Upon moving to Florida, he earned a Master’s Degree in Medical Science, then graduated with a degree in Osteopathic Medicine from Lake Erie College of Medicine in Bradenton, Florida, before completing his residency training at Bayfront Health in downtown St. Petersburg. Coming from a small town where there wasn't a large specialist presence, Dr. Bugg is aware of what a full spectrum family practice can bring to a community. He is a compassionate proactive physician who enjoys performing in-office procedures when necessary but realizes the preventative power of healthy eating and exercise. Dr. Bugg is passionate about LGBTQ+ health, HIV care and travel medicine. In his spare time Dr. Bugg enjoys weekend sports leagues, cooking for friends, beach days and traveling the world.

John Sosa, M.D., is a native of suburban Detroit and is double Board Certified in Family Medicine and Lifestyle Medicine. He completed his undergraduate degree in Anthropology-Zoology from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and went on to attend the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine in St. Maarten. He returned to the Detroit area and did three years of General Surgery residency at St. Joseph Mercy-Oakland Hospital in Pontiac, MI then moved on to a Family Medicine residency at Providence Hospital in Southfield, MI where he was Chief Resident his final year. He remained in the Detroit area for several years, working at urgent care centers, opening a Medical Spa and then returned to doing primary care. Dr. Sosa moved to Florida in 2009 to take a primary care position with BayCare Medical Group in Westchase, where he practiced comprehensive primary care to teens and adults for over nine years. In 2017, he was part of the inaugural class to become Board Certified by the American College of Lifestyle Medicine. In 2019, he started his own Direct Primary Care Lifestyle Medicine practice, Elevânt Health, where he passionately focuses on lifestyle modification to help prevent, treat, and reverse chronic diseases. Dr. Sosa is an avid sports and movie enthusiast, fitness fanatic and follows a pure plant-based diet. He is the proud father of two beautiful daughters.
