Elizabeth is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a doctorate in lifestyle medicine from Southern Adventist University. She is also a certified health coach and has led out in several community health education programs throughout the Greater Chattanooga, TN area. Elizabeth is passionate about helping individuals achieve optimal health. Her passion for health began as she watched lifestyle choices play out in the lives of her grandparents. This sparked her interest in studying the human body God has gifted us with and the choices we can make to optimize our own health. Elizabeth especially enjoys helping patients with weight loss, metabolic, hormonal, and GI health.

Elizabeth enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and two boys. They enjoy spending time together hiking, mountain biking, and exploring lakes and rivers. Elizabeth's exercise hobbies include endurance sports such as triathlons and marathons.

Dr. Greg Steinke graduated from medical school at Loma Linda University (LLU) in California, with additional training in public health and nutrition. He then completed four years of additional training at LLU to become board-certified in family and preventive medicine with an emphasis in Lifestyle Medicine.

On top of his medical practice, Dr. Greg regularly conducts community-based lifestyle education programs designed to reverse and improve chronic diseases such as heart disease, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, depression, and tobacco dependence. He co-authored the best-selling book 30 Days To Natural Blood Pressure Control: The No PRESSURE Solution, and a position statement by the American College of Lifestyle Medicine on Diabetes Remission. He is also a regular contributor to the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine's Exam Question Writing Team.

Dr. Greg grew up in Canada, just outside of Vancouver, BC. He and his wife, Heather, a true Tennessee Southern Belle, met in Nigeria, Africa during a medical mission trip in college. They have two children, Ada, and Andrew, and two cats, Princess and Beauty. In his off time, Dr. Greg can be found yodeling strains to his wife and kids on his guitar, play wrestling with his kids, and enjoying a walk in the woods.

Julia Danforth, MD

Dr. Julia is a board-certified family and lifestyle medicine physician. She believes that health includes more than just physical, but social, mental and spiritual wellness as well. Dr. Julia earned her medical degree from the Loma Linda University School of Medicine in California followed by a residency in family practice at Florida Hospital in Orlando. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice and the American College of Lifestyle Medicine. Dr. Julia was board-certified in Lifestyle Medicine in 2017 and is blessed to be able to formally pursue her lifelong career passion, sharing principles of health that she has learned.

Dr. Julia has a certification in plant-based nutrition and loves leading a monthly lifestyle support group called Living Well, in Calhoun, GA, particularly focused on Whole Food Plant Based (WFPB) eating. She has helped with several community-based lifestyle improvement programs, such as Diabetes Reversal and Depression & Anxiety Reversal programs. Dr. Julia enjoys participating in the healing process when people make choices that enable them to thrive in every way, particularly drawing closer to our wonderful & healing Creator.

When not seeing patients in the office, Dr. Julia can be found hanging out with her husband, experimenting with WFPB recipes to share with friends, and spending quality time with friends. She is delighted to be closer to her daughter, son-in-law and new granddaughter and be able to see her regularly. Dr. Julia loves walking, especially in the woods when possible, hanging out with Jesus in His Word and praising Him in singing, piano or organ.

Lily Tryon, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC

Lilly is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with over 35 years of nursing experience in lifestyle medicine and community health. She has a master's degree in nursing (Drexel University), a doctorate in lifestyle medicine (Southern Adventist University), and holds certifications in lifestyle medicine, health and wellness coaching, plant-based nutrition, and exercise physiology. In addition to serving part-time at LifeMed Clinic, Lilly teaches at Southern Adventist University where she focuses on expanding the role of lifestyle medicine in advanced practice nursing.

Passionate about the connection between faith and health, Lilly believes that the ultimate key for achieving optimal health and well-being lies in understanding and cooperating with God’s restorative work in our lives. She is a strong advocate of faith-based health ministry and has developed training workshops and materials for using a coaching approach in church health outreach programs. Lilly loves to travel, camp, hike, kayak, cook, quilt, and spend lots of family time with her mother, husband, children, and grandchildren. Her favorite moments of each day are the quiet bookends of early morning and evening when she relaxes with a cup of tea, a book or journal, and a purring cat on her lap.
