Anna Johanson, MD

Dr Anna Johanson grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio, the second of 5 children.  Her interest in medicine began after spending time in a rural clinic in the Appalachian Mountains.

She received her bachelor’s in environmental science from Antioch College in Yellow Springs, Ohio. She had a myriad of jobs before going on to medical school, including art, environmental health and community organizing. She is a graduate of the University of Colorado School of Medicine and completed her residency training at St Anthony’s Family Medicine Residency in Denver.  She stayed on at St Anthony’s as clinical faculty for 3 years after residency.

She is passionate about preventive medicine and caring for the medically underserved in her community. She especially enjoys pediatrics, women’s health, urgent care, and procedures.

Outside of medicine, she loves spending time with her husband Tim and two children Hawk and Blaze, as well as art, traveling, CrossFit and being in the mountains. Her husband grew up in Grand County, and they moved back to be closer to family in spring of 2021. She is thrilled to have joined the team at Fraser Medical Clinic and be part of the amazing community in Grand County.

She is passionate about preventive medicine and caring for the medically underserved in her community. She especially enjoys pediatrics, women’s health, urgent care, and procedures.

Astrid Lampey, MD

Dr. Lampey is a Colorado native raised in Longmont and from Estes Park where she and her husband (Dr. Barry) practiced for 9 years. Her interest in medicine dates back at least as far as her first aid classes in the Junior National Ski Patrol.

She received her BS in Business in 1992 from the University of Colorado. She received her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Colorado in Denver in 1997 and performed her internship and residency at St. Anthony’s Family Practice Residency in Denver.

In her spare time Dr. Lampey enjoys road and mountain biking, all types of skiing, hiking with her dog, cooking and quilting. She aspires to playing harmonica and is actually making some progress.
Dr. Lampey has over 17 years experience and has been voted Best Doctor/Medical Provider of Grand County in 2016!

Dr. Barry is a Colorado native raised in Littleton and most recently from Estes Park where he and his wife (Dr. Lampey)  practiced for 9 years. His interest in medicine began with first aid and wilderness EMT training while volunteering for a Search and Rescue team in high school.

He received his BA in Molecular and Cellular Developmental Biology from the University of Colorado in 1992 and his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Colorado in Denver in 1996. He performed his internship and residency at St. Anthony’s Family Practice Residency in Denver. He became Board Certified in Family Practice in 1999, and recertified in 2006.

Dr. Barry enjoys road and mountain biking, all types of skiing, hiking with his dog, and playing guitar. His attempts at singing remain hopeless, and his ability to play hockey is kindly called enthusiastic rather than lacking.

Dr. Barry and Dr. Lampey have been visiting Winter Park and Fraser since childhood, and have been Grand County property owners since 2002.
