Melissa Launder, MD

Trinity

Melissa Launder, MD, isn’t shy about sharing her love for Family Medicine and her patients. She considers it an honor to work as a primary care physician and help generations of families, young and old. Her interest in medicine was first sparked at a young age as she witnessed her father care for patients as a physical therapist.

She obtained her B.S. in Microbiology and Cell Science from the University of Florida; graduated in 2006 from the Florida State University College of Medicine; and completed residency training at the University of South Florida’s Family Medicine program at Morton Plant Hospital. After nearly ten years of practice in the Baycare Health System, Dr. Launder opened Exceptional Care Center in Trinity with a vision for further improving her patient’s medical experience. In a day and age where insurance companies and corporations reign supreme, she shines amongst her peers for her compassionate care, thorough manner and dedication to her craft. She continues to develop rich relationships with her patients in a time when many physicians are “burning out” and questioning their career choices.  Dr. Launder is blessed by her family and friends. She and her husband Tom enjoy caring for their two Chihuahuas, Pepe and Paco. She also appreciates great coffee, hiking, reading, musical theatre, and travel.
